In the South we expect a lot out of our Gents- from opening every single door to impressing our Daddy. He goes above and beyond every day. Never take him for granted. Let him know how much you love him and appreciate all the things he does for you :)
Greet everyone you meet as if they are an old friend. No one likes being treated like a stranger.
Never, ever let a guy’s opinion of you determine your self worth. You are amazing and if he is too stupid to see it, he does not deserve you anyway.
If you do not agree with someone, do not sit and continuously argue with them. Let them have their opinion, no matter how right or wrong it may be. You are most likely not going to be able to change their mind today. Like I always say, the standard response to end every argument should be, “You might be right.” What are they going to say after that?
If you are wearing a cardigan, pearls, and a bow in your hair please remember to conduct yourself as such. Your manner of dress should match your manner of behavior. Wearing a Lilly dress and acting like someone on Jersey Shore is worse by far than dressing like someone on Jersey Shore and acting like someone on Jersey Shore.
What meal should every southern lady know how to make? Macaroni and Cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, deviled eggs, biscuits, and fried chicken. Also, apple pie. And sweet tea :)
Sometimes I feel like my friends turn against me when their other friends are around.
